^^ a couple months ago i saw a post calling out someone for “fetishizing trans men,” only to check the accused person’s blog and see that he was a trans guy himself, who made a lot of positivity posts about his body type.
how old is the post?
did the accused person have a chance to apologize or address the concern before the details were exposed to thousands of strangers?
what’s the purpose of the callout post? is it just to say “this person is bad and you should hate them,” or is it to say “this person has been sending slurs and violent death threats to bloggers in [x] group, here’s some reasonable proof, please block their url for your safety”?

Because at the core, if your callout post is a post calling for people to come in and deliver “just” violence onto someone (and I use just with the most massive sarcasm quotes ever)?
You’re an asshole.
The whole point of callout posts is not to bring “retribution” onto “evil doers”, it’s to warn others to not get fucked over by predatory shitheads in our communities.
Basically, it boils down to this: Are you trying to protect someone by giving them the chance to make an informed decision? Or are you trying to harm someone. however much they seem to “deserve” it?

our friends over at nbc also used some creepily similar phrasing to the other major news sources above btw, including comparing her to ivanka trump, although the headline for their piece is more neutral & less glowing. theyre still treating her like some kind of celebrity, & comparing her favorably to various member of the trump administration/family.

today i got some columbian food in the back of a haunted mall how was everyone else’s day
ok i will tell the tale
so im taking this spanish class, spanish professor wanted us to go out to eat to practice. im all prepared, i punch in the address and drive 2 the place. turns out this place isnt really a restaurant so much as it is a small habitable zone at the back of a vast, empty mall
there was dead silence and darkness. 90% of the outlets were shut down and blocked off
it was 2 o’clock on a Saturday, but this mall was COMPLETELY barren. an air of powerful curses hung in the air. none of the escalators were working, i had to hike up one like stairs
of course once i got to the restaurant i had a nice time and some p good food and a guy with a saxophone serenaded us with covers of pop hits
my freinds, it was surreal
so my plans got really mixed up today and i decided to revisit the cursed mall while i was in the area! it seems things have gotten even stranger
for the most part, it is still the creepy empty mall it has always been. but this time even less stores were open, even the columbian restaurant was closed.
the food court, which was slightly open before, was utterly barren, and for some reason slightly sped-up mexican sounding music played over the completely empty venue
this was a particularly strange outlet, where instead of the remains of a store, there was a neatly set up classroom in the display window
once you get more than like 2000 followers on here your presence just becomes a constant cycle of getting an anon about a very complex serious issue, giving your opinion as best you can, and then getting like 5 more anons that are like “you’re not an expert you stupid bitch” and if you respond angrily you’ll get like 10 anons that are like “i used to like your blog but you’re so mean lately yikes” and on and on until someone finds a post from like 5 years ago where you said piss is kind of gross and you get put on some corny liberal’s blocklist
